You’ll have a programme of fitness sessions tailored to your needs, yoga in a variety of styles and stunning hillwalking, with plenty of time for relaxation around your luxury accommodation.
Mallorca guests enjoy a midweek, 5-hour mountain hike up to the beautiful fortress ruin of Castell d’Alaro, perched on one of two opposing rocky outcrops jutting dramatically out of the landscape. The walk is challenging but entirely on clearly marked paths, which lead you up to breathtaking views at over 800m.
Daily pre-breakfast outdoor group fitness sessions (timed according to when the sun comes up) focus on circuit training to build mobility and strength. Equipment is provided and includes resistance bands, hand weights, Swiss ball and TRX.
Three personal training sessions are scheduled separately and designed according to your preferences and needs. If you choose to include boxing, pads and gloves are provided. You can expect to develop a personal training plan with Jodie to follow on your return home.
Jodie takes inspiration from different styles of yoga, resulting in a general practice that is accessible to all and that combines energetic Vinyasa-style flow with deep stretching. Weather permitting, yoga is practiced outdoors and generally in the early evening before supper. Pre-breakfast group fitness can be replaced by yoga if the group prefers.
You’ll have two complementary treatments on a typical 5-day retreat. These include a 1-hour treatment with Amanda Noel Woolston, who specialises in reflexology, Reiki and massage. Trained over many years in a range of therapies and techniques, Amanda combines these to meet the needs of her retreat clients. Treatments also include a 30-minute facial with Bettina Papenkort, who uses her experience in skincare, aromatherapy and massage over more than 30 years to tailor facials to individual clients’ needs.
Bedrooms and bathrooms: Five double bedrooms are split over three floors. Most luxurious are the master bedroom, with direct access on to a shared balcony and views across the hillsides, and its own ensuite shower and dressing room; and the top floor bedroom with spectacular views to both east and west from double aspect windows. Bedrooms are painted white, furnished in antique wood, and display an eclectic range of artwork. The two shared bathrooms, with lively and colourful Mediterranean tiling and ornate mirrors, include one with roll-top bath and one with walk-in shower. Natural shampoos, conditioners and shower gels from Sukin are provided.
You can get away with hand luggage but make sure you have a warm layer for the cooler evenings, mosquito spray and a comfortable pair of walking shoes. Early arrival or late departure flights mean there is time to explore the beautiful city of Palma.

Meals are eaten outside by the pool terrace at a communal dining table. Eating ‘close to nature’ is the core ethos and the plant-strong approach of talented retreat chef Caroline favors colourful, flavoursome and nutrition-dense foods across all food groups. Produce comes from local markets and herbs are fresh from the garden.
Breakfasts might include courgette and pea fritters with poached egg, or natural yogurt with baked plums and home-made granola; lunches might include fresh prawns with soba noodles and thai salad, or Mexican bean chili, roast corn salsa and guacamole; dinners might include falafel with cauliflower and pomegranate couscous, or black bean and mushroom burgers, followed by raw banoffee mouse or ‘healthy’ brownies. No alcohol or caffeine is served, but the ‘mocktails’ and herbal teas are delicious.
Produce comes from the local farmers’ market. Retreat instructor Jodie is an advocate of plastic-free living and does her best to minimise plastic use on retreat. Stainless steel water bottles are provided and complementary skincare products are from allergen-free vegan brand MyRoo. All waste is carefully recycled.
