ilapothecary Vitamin Rich Face Oil review
As someone who spends a lot of time swimming, by the sea and in transit I always use a decent face oil before any morning and evening cream, and this Vitamin A, C, D & E Rich Face oil by the intriguing ilapothecary has made a becalming change to my routine. It smells delicious, as one might expect from anything produced by ila and ilapothecary’s founder Denise Leicester and her team, and works well for my now slightly sensitive and slightly dry skin by mixing oils such as arnica, calendula, borage and rose hip with plant stem cells, sandalwood and blue chamomile to feed and balance. The ilapothecary brand is rather fun too, in that it draws on Numerology to relate each of its products to your wellbeing goals and try to help change the way you feel. This one is labelled as a Number 6, which is apparently a symbol of completeness, beauty and high ideals, and the number of Venus, The Goddess of Love. You can find out more about ilapothecary’s theory of numerology here
- What’s queenly: This is a great little oil for when your skin is facing change – be that during travel to and from a retreat, at times of seasonal transition, or when your skin is feeling troubled by the mucky stuff of life.
- What’s lowly: You’re only supposed to use three to five drops for your face and neck each time, but if as I do you get naturally carried away you’ll get through the 20 ml bottle an incy bit too quickly.
- Retail Therapy: £39 from www.ilapothecary.com
