Over the last few months I’ve been trying out some delicious Ilapothecary products and enjoying the heady scents and textures all over my body, from scrubs and oils to mists and moisturisers. For retreating, I’d especially recommend the SOS Body Balm, a powerful, sweet-smelling herbal balm with blue camomile, arnica, rose and vanilla – I first found it on a retreat in France, and have been using it ever since! Use wherever you need it during your train journey or flight to your retreat, and for giving yourself a foot or hand massage and general all over skin hydration and healing once at your location.

  • What’s queenly: This is a truly nourishing, reach-for product you’ll want to use time and again. Also try the Feminine Happy Oil for self massage.
  • What’s lowly: Though this British brand uses only natural products and takes care of your personal wellbeing, it doesn’t as yet have a committed sustainability policy for people and planet.
